Labour Director: You Don’t Need A Degree, You Need to be Certified
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Earlier this week, Director of Labour Robert Farquharson said over 12,000 labor certificates were approved for foreigners last year.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Earlier this week, Director of Labour Robert Farquharson, said over 12,000 labor certificates were approved for foreigners last year.
He says this is partially due to a deficit in certified Bahamian workers in many industries.
He says that based on the trends they’re seeing in the job market, in many cases having a certificate is much more valuable than having a degree.
