NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Over 30 businesses coming face-to-face with potential job seekers today at the Columbus Primary School.



Those attending, hoping to match skills with needs. 

Labour Minister Keith Bell, calling it an overwhelming turnout.

The huge crowds at the Labour on the Blocks 2.0 job fair also speaks to the state of the job market.

Along with Minister of Labour Keith Bell, Area Member of Parliament, Glenys Hanna-Martin, was also in attendance.
She says she spent a lot of time speaking with young people at the job fair and she remains optimistic.

Job seekers were told to come prepared with the right documents. For some, within one hour, there were hired on the spot. These job hopefuls say they remain encouraged.

And, for those still seeking employment, Acting Assisting Director of Labour, Simone Thurston says, there’s still a possibility.
