GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Concerns are growing among Grand Bahama residents over the island’s lack of functioning fire trucks.

Some claim that none of the fire trucks stationed at the Sir Albert J. Miller fire station are functioning, leaving the island reliant on fire trucks from the Grand Bahama International Airport.

When we reached out to the Police Press Liaison Officer on Grand Bahama about concerns over delayed responses to fire incidents, we were told the fire department had no comment.

These concerns are heightened amid global incidents like the wildfires in California, which have totally destroyed communities

While speaking with our news exclusively on Thursday, FNM leader and Marco City MP Michael Pintard shared that he understands one of the trucks is out of service due to a part.
