NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – On September 26, the Atlantis Imperial Ballroom will be transformed into a vibrant 70s disco party as Hands for Hunger hosts their largest fundraiser of the year, Paradise Plates.

This event will showcase over 50 food and beverage vendors, including Tipsy Scoops Bahamas.

This company is part of a franchise, and its storefront in The Bahamas is the brand’s international location.

They serve ice cream infused with alcohol, such as this menu item known as the Night Owl.

Incorporating Guinness, I found it to be delicious, providing a savory flavor that complements what would typically be a sweet treat, reminiscent of a Guinness smooth.

The coordinator for events and marketing, Alissa Bain, shares their menu inspired by local cocktails.

“We have a Bahamian Coco Breeze so be sure to try it before you leave. We also have the Bahama Mama so for those with the sweet tooth Bahama mama is really good we also have Sour Sop which is our non alcohol flavors.”

When they initially opened in 2024, their location was in Downtown Nassau. However, they have since relocated to Delancy Street.

The transition, she notes, has presented its challenges.

“It’s very unfortunate that we had to move away from the busy Bay Street area, so you could imagine the traffic was really busy but here in Delancy Street it’s been relatively slower”

She disclosed that the summer months were their busiest season.

Consequently, the business has sought to adapt by enticing clients to the brand through distinctive Tipsy Scoop Bahamas experiences.

“We offer more than just ice cream we offer catering services we also have an events lounge that can be rented to persons if they so they wish. We also have cocktail making classes cake decorating classes. All with rum? All with rum girl we can also do cocktails don’t worry about it we got you covered.”
