NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Basketball coach Marco Cooper and Leon Leathen from Grand Bahama teamed up with the Holliday Hoops Foundation, a nonprofit out of South Carolina to host a basketball clinic for local kids.

For Cooper and Leathen, this is just the beginning.

For Willis holiday, a Greenville-based coach with college and big-time AAU coaching experience, this camp was a worthwhile experience.

Our men’s and women’s teams both lost in the last day of Round-Robin play at the Caribbean Senior Volleyball Championships.

The women fell in straight sets to Barbados, three to nothing.

Janelle Curtis led the attack for The Bahamas with 13 points.

Our men put up a tremendous fight before falling to Jamaica in 5 sets. Prince Wilson led the way there with 17 points.

Both teams were in action again today; we will bring you those scores later.
