NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s the home to one of the longest charted underwater cave systems in the world, and an internationally recognized beach, the Lucayan National Park is recovering beautifully following the devastation of Hurricane Dorian.

It’s the second most visited park out of 32 national parks in The Bahamas. The Lucayan National Park nestled in East Grand Bahama boasts of up to 30,000 visitors per year prior to hurricane Dorian. Director of Parks Ellsworth Weir says the natural attraction is making a comeback.

The park established back in 1983 features underwater caves, wetlands, and a fully functioning creek system.
