NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 31-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly illegally built a home on Crown Land.

Prosecutors say Dillion Gomez built the structure in the Carmichael Well Fields without a permit.

Gomez is further accused of causing damage to crown land and resisting arrest.

He denied the allegations at his arraignment before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr and was granted $5,000 bail.

He returns to court on May 15 for a status hearing.
