Man Accused of Murdering a Man in Front of His Wife, Denied Bail a Second Time
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Jonathan Davis is charged with the December 23, 2023 shooting death of Vantoi Bethune.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 33-year-old man accused of murdering a man in front of his wife has been denied bail a second time.
Jonathan Davis is charged with the December 23, 2023 shooting death of Vantoi Bethune.
Bethune had just celebrated his wife’s 30th birthday at Solemar and were headed to their vehicle when he was allegedly ambushed by two gunmen – where one is alleged to be Davis.
Davis was arrested the same day following a high-speed chase.
He is scheduled to be tried later this year.
In refusing bail, Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez ruled that there was a risk of Davis absconding, further offending and interfering with witnesses if released.
