NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 26-year-old man charged with the murder of an alleged gang member says he fears for his life.

Glenardo Johnson appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt charged with the October 4th shooting death of Geovanny “Stickman” LaFleur.

Prosecutors say LaFleur stopped his route 15A bus on Robinson Road to let a passenger off. Prosecutors say Johnson was that passenger and shot LaFleur in the head while exiting the bus.

LaFleur, who was on bail for a 2015 murder, died at the scene.

Johnson wasn’t asked to plead and was remanded to prison until March 19.

Johnson alleged that LaFleur was the leader of the Fire and Theft gang.

Ferguson-Pratt told Johnson that she would note his concerns on his remand warrant; however, it was up to the commissioner of prisons where he was housed.
