Man Charged With Deadly Bat Attack

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of beating another man to death is behind bars.

Prosecutors allege that 36-year-old Reginald Chase bludgeoned 65-year-old Michael Pratt with a bat on June 3.

According to initial police reports, the victim was beaten by a group of men whom he did not know while at Malcolm Road.

Chase did not have to enter a plea to the murder charge when he stood before Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

Bail was denied and he returns to court on October 6 to receive Voluntary Bill of Indictment papers.
