NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is behind bars accused of killing a 48-year-old woman as she held her one-year-old grandson.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is behind bars accused of killing a 48-year-old woman as she held her one-year-old grandson.
Prosecutors say 27-year-old Anejo Smith fatally shot Tamika Nottage-Cime on April 13.
She was sitting in bed holding the toddler at her Culmersville home when she was hit in the chest by a bullet from an assault rifle allegedly fired by Smith.
He did not have a lawyer when he made his first court appearance before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans and was denied bail.
Smith returns to court on August 20 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers to fast track the case to the Supreme Court.
