GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A man in Grand Bahama is dead after he was struck while attempting to cross the street.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A man in Grand Bahama is dead after he was struck while attempting to cross the street.
Inspector Mik Sears said the incident happened just after midnight.
He said it was at that time that the Police Control Room received information of a traffic fatality on Queen’s Highway in the vicinity of the old 700 Wines and Spirits building.
“As a result officers went to the scene who met a man laying on the southern side of Queen’s Highway with visible injuries,” Inspector Sears told the media.
“Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of a silver Cadillac vehicle was travelling west along Queen’s Highway when he struck a man who was attempting to cross the street. EMS personnel were summoned and found no signs of life. We are in our early stages of our investigation so we can’t say if speed was a factor at this time.”
