NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of murdering a man before he cut off his ankle bracelet has failed to convince a judge to grant him bail.

Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson denied bail to Godfrey Minnis in the interest of public safety.

Minnis is accused of killing Bertram Moxey and taking his motorbike on March 21, 2022.

Prosecutors say Minnis cut off the ankle bracelet he was wearing in relation to another matter after he allegedly killed Moxey.
