NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has denied killing four-year-old Kenton Seymour Jr. while trying to shoot someone else. 

Shanton Munroe, who is on remand, faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Prosecutors allege that on July 26, 2022, Munroe was shooting at Deshano Joseph on Fleming Street. At the same time, Kenton Jr. was shot as his parents’ car was caught in the crossfire.

Munroe has denied Kenton’s murder as well as the attempted murders of his parents, Kenton Seymour Sr. and Norma Smith. He is set to appear before Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns on October 25 to receive a trial date.
