NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 20-year-old man was granted $6,000 bail, Tuesday, after he was charged with a rape he allegedly committed as a teenager.

Prosecutors say Skyler Saunders, then 15, had unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl against her will in September 2018.

Saunders didn’t have to enter a plea to the unlawful sexual intercourse charge when he made his initial court appearance before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

The matter was adjourned to December 5 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.

He was granted bail late this afternoon by a supreme court judge.
