NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police alerting media to a shooting in the Pinewood Gardens area shortly before nine Sunday night.

Our News arrived on the scene to find the victim suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a Sequoia Street home.

Onlookers, watching as the victim’s body was placed in a waiting hearse.

Officer-in-Charge of the East Street South Police Station, Chief Superintendent Christopher Minus, says while information is limited, they have an important clue – the make and model of the suspect’s vehicle.

We learned on Monday morning, that patrol officers recovered a black Kia Sportage off Soldier Road. The vehicle had been reported stolen and is believed to be connected to this latest murder.

Also on scene Sunday night was Assistant Commissioner Roberto Goodman, who leads the Crime, Missing Persons, and Drug Enforcement Units.

He says police are ramping up efforts, as the holiday season approaches.

Police, once again pleading for residents to partner with them, while looking within.
