Man Jailed for 18 Years for Raping Teenager

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been jailed for 18 years for the rape of a teenager.

Spark Elvis Strapp, 46, was convicted of rape following a trial before Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns.

The incident took place at Strapp’s home on January 26, 2017 after he offered his 17-year-old victim a ride.

Strapp maintains his innocence and claims that the incident was consensual.

According to him, the now 26-year-old was upset because he didn’t pay her the $500 as promised.

The Victim said she experiences panic attacks and is distrustful of men as a result of the incident.
