NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 41-year-old man who stole a pack of hotdog buns from a church has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Elkeno Wallace, of Spence Street, admitted to the September 13 break-in at East Street Gospel Chapel and the subsequent theft of a $6 pack of hotdog buns at his arraignment before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

Wallace, who has an extensive rap sheet for similar crimes, was sentenced to 2.5 years for the break-in and one year for the theft. The sentences, however, will be served at the same time.
