Man Who Molested Young Girl Agrees to 12-Year Sentence
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who molested a young girl has agreed to serve 12 years in prison for his crimes.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who molested a young girl has agreed to serve 12 years in prison for his crimes.
Fifty-four-year-old Tonie Brown received the sentence after admitting to two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse as part of a plea deal.
Following his release from prison, Brown will be on probation for one year and a breach of probation will send him back to prison for one year.
Brown was the boyfriend of a friend of the victim’s family. The incidents took place during sleepovers.
The first incident happened in September 2023 when the victim was 12 and the second took place in August 2024 when she was 13
Brown has been in custody since his arrest in December 2024 and will receive credit for the time spent on remand.
