Men Advance to Semis, Women in Knockout Round

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Our men packed Martinique in straight sets, sweeping them 27-25, 25-20 and 25-14 to get the win.

Kyle Wilson led team Bahamas with 21 points for the win.

Meanwhile, our women lost to Jamaica yesterday to close out Round-Robin play yesterday.

They had a rematch against Jamaica earlier this afternoon in the knockout round. We’ll get the score of that match to you as soon as we can.

Jonquel Jones scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help her New York Liberty to a win against the Atlanta Dream.

Her points came on a hyper-efficient 7 of 11 shooting night. She also made all four of her free throws.

It was New York’s 4th straight win as well as JJ’s 4th straight game with a double-double.

Breanna Stewart led the liberty in scoring with 33 points, she also had 11 rebounds while Alisha Gray had 25, 8 and 6 for Atlanta.
