Mingoes in Hoops, Softball Action Over the Weekend

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – University of The Bahamas’ basketball squad took on the Great Whites in New Providence Basketball Association play beating them 73-59 to improve 2-0 in the standings.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – University of The Bahamas’ basketball squad took on the Great Whites in New Providence Basketball Association play beating them 73-59 to improve 2-0 in the standings.

Theo Grant had 17 points and 5 rebounds and Erquante “Q” Edgecombe led the team with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 steals in the win.

Meanwhile, UB’s women’s softball team competed in the Bahamas Softball Federation fast-pitch tournament over the weekend, falling 14-9 in the bronze medal game.

Anna Wilmott had a double, a triple, and two RBI to bolster the Minoges’ efforts.

Team 242 will play the U.S. Virgin Islands in two weeks at the Roscow A. Davies Field.

The last match they played was against the USVI ended in a draw.

This time they’ll have the chance to lock up the win in front of a home crowd on November 29th. The game is free for all to attend.
