NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Meet Mount Pleasant, named for the area he was found. He’s relatively new resident of The Bahamas Humane Society.

But just a few weeks ago, his life looked very different.

Inspector and supervisor at the Humane Sociey, Valentino Amaly was his rescuer.

When he arrived at the shelter, he was emaciated, tick and flea ridden, and covered in sores. And mentally, he was shut down after his traumatic neglect.

Now, he says their focus is helping get Mount Pleasant comfortable and socialized.

It’s something he says they’d love the public’s help in.
