NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When we first met “Mount Pleasant,” he had just been rescued from a horrible situation—emaciated, covered in ticks, and mentally shut down. After weeks of care from the Bahamas Humane Society, his transformation has been remarkable. With the help of the public, he was renamed “Casper.”

Marcien Pinder – Supervisor, Bahamas Humane Society

“Since the last time, he’s come a long way. He’s much more active now, wagging his tail, asking for high fives. He’s showing a lot of happiness.”

Casper is also physically healing and might soon be ready for adoption.

Marcien Pinder – Supervisor, Bahamas Humane Society

“He had a few sores when he first came in, but they’re healing nicely. Give him another two or three weeks, and he’ll be fully ready for a foster home or maybe even adopted.”
