NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Coach Deron Lightbourne announced that national double champion Adam Musgrove is headed to Washington D.C. to attend Howard University.

Musgrove, the country’s U-20 champion in the 100 and the 200 meters says the decision was made with in consultation with his family and that Howard’s stellar academic reputation was taken into consideration.

Musgrove’s training partner, Otto Laing, announced on Wednesday that he will be continuing his education and track career at Howard University as well.

The Bahamian boys’ U-12 baseball team began yesterday’s Babe Ruth baseball Caribbean Tournament in dominant fashion with a 27-0 win over the Cayman.

Things would go much differently for them later in the day when they lost a 6-5 barnburner to Cuba due to a slow start and some early errors which allowed our neighbors to take the lead in the 4th inning.

Pool play should be wrapping up right now.

Then it’s the knockout rounds over the weekend.

Be sure to check our website and socials for the latest scores for the tournament.
