NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s been seven days since 41-year-old Chicago native Taylor Casey was last seen on Paradise Island, and her family and friends are now raising the alarm. Police first released this missing persons flyer on Friday, two days after Taylor Casey was last seen. Her distraught family has made a Facebook page asking for any clues to find the missing American.

In a press release, they say Taylor was last seen at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island, adding that they’re deeply concerned over what happened, saying, “Taylor would never disappear like this.”

The story of her disappearance has appeared on major U.S. networks, including CNN, NBC, CBS, and ABC.

On the sidelines of an international travel experts conference this morning, Director General of Tourism Investments and Aviation Latia Duncombe says they are working with authorities.

The disappearance comes amid a Level 2 security advisory for The Bahamas, issued by the U.S. State Department due to violent crimes. Duncombe recognizes the potential fallout from this latest incident.
