Nassau Cruise Port Launches New Initiative To Reduce Waste
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Nassau Cruise Port is doing its part to reduce waste, promote recycling, and manage its environmental footprint.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Nassau Cruise Port is doing its part to reduce waste, promote recycling, and manage its environmental footprint.
It is all part of their latest initiative launched this past World Recycling Day. Health, Safety & Environment Manager Yeshanti Thompson explains how the initiative works.
With millions of people passing through the port on an annual basis, you can imagine the amount of waste accumulated.
Thompson says that through the Cruisin’ Green initiative, they want to be even better corporate citizens.
Thompson adds that they have already begun communication and collaborations that will allow their Cruisin’ Green efforts to extend beyond the cruise port.
