NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With the opening of the Nassau Cruise Port on tap for Friday, Nassau Cruise Port Chief Executive Officer Mike Maura says around 4.2 million passengers are expected this year.

He says confirmed bookings for 2024 are even higher.

Maura explained to a local daily last week, the official opening of the port will likely see several opening events to mark the occasion.

The Cruise Port will be home to multiple businesses and sites that will be dominated by Bahamian culture.

Among those structures will be a junkanoo museum and a marketplace with 50 entrepreneurs.

One of the many experiences, Maura explains is hair braiding.
