MLB

Jazz Chisholm Jr. joined some elite company in his franchises history over the weekend.

On Saturday, Chisholm became only the sixth player in New York Yankees history to achieve the elusive 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases in a single season.

Let’s put it in historical context, the other names on that list include Curtis Granderson, Alex Rodríguez, Alfonso Soriano, Rickey Henderson, and Bobby Bonds.

Right now the entire country should be on 30-30 watch – and that list only includes three Yankees.

Today is a scheduled off day, but the Yankees have 27 games remaining in the regular season.

Softball

The Players Alliance and the Don’t Blink Organization joined forces with Bahamas Athletic Pride in their mission to level the playing field for baseball and softball communities in The Bahamas.

The non-profit groups recently donated softball equipment and supplies to support the growth of the sport locally.

BAP Chief Executive Officer Dachye Stubbs expressed gratitude for the donation, calling it a blessing to have organizations like the Players Alliance and Don’t Blink investing in the community.

Don’t Blink rose to prominence hosting its Home Run Derby in Paradise, but recently expanded its reach to softball by hosting the Queens of Paradise series which featured professional teams from the United States.

Stubbs also noted that the donation will have a direct impact on the girls in her program, giving them access to proper equipment to train effectively, play safely, and grow their skills.
