Pacers Beat the Rockets in Overtime, Warriors Lose to the Grizzlies

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahamians Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors played on Thursday night, with both teams sustaining entirely different outcomes.

Hield Scores and the Pacers Beat the Rockets in Overtime

Buddy Hield scored 17 points and grabbed 6 assists, pilfered 2 steals and swatted 2 blocks to help his Indiana Pacers beat the Houston Rockets 134-125. He made 6 of 13 shots including 5 of his 10 three point attempts.

Hield and the Pacers had to go to OT to beat the lowly Rockets after Jabari Smith of the Rockets hit a three with 5 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 115, forcing overtime. 

The Pacers would put the game away there, beating the rockets 19-10.

The Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton had 29 points and a career-high 19 assists. Myles Turner had 21 points. The Rockets’ Jabari Smith Jr. Had 30 points and 12 rebounds. Kenyon Martin Jr. and Jalen Green had 23 and 24 points respectively. 

Hield and the Warriors Lose to the Hated Grizzlies

A rivalry has been brewing between Klay Thompson’s Golden State Warriors and the Memnphis Grizzlies since last year’s offseason, this week it ramped up with Dillon Brooks of the Warriors and Draymond Green of the Grizzlies trading verbal barbs. Thursday this rivalry played out with Bahamian Klay Thompson and the Warriors, falling to the Grizzlies 131-110. 

Thompson had a down night, scoring 14 points on 6 of 13 shooting along with 4 rebounds. 

Stephen Curry led the Dubs with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Jordan Poole had 21 points. 
The Grizzlies’ Tyus Jones filled in admirably for embattled point guard Ja Morant scoring 22 points and dishing 11 assists. Desmond Bane and Jarren Jackson had 21 apiece.

The Warriors have lost 3 straight and they hope to right the ship on Saturday against the Milwuakee Bucks, the best team in the eastern conference.
