Neighborhood Watch Celebrates 5th Anniversary

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The National Neighborhood Watch turns 5 today, celebrating the anniversary of their official start in 2018. As part of today’s celebration, they went to Quakoo Street in New Providence to hand out smoke detectors to residents.

Coordinator of the National Neighborhood Watch, Ismella Davis-Delancy tells us why initiatives like this one are so important.

Davis-Delancy offers an update on the number of neighborhood watch groups in the country, saying although some efforts were stalled by the restrictions of the pandemic, they’re back on their feet and working toward growing their numbers.
