NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A nearly $200,000 2024 BMW seems to be the latest in extravagant spending by the Davis administration.

Free National Movement Chairman Dr. Duane Sands is calling it extravagant for the sake of extravagance.

This invoice from Auto Mall Omega Motors sending shockwaves throughout social media. It reveals the purchase of a $192,000, 2024 BMW Series 7.

The luxury car costs between $96,000 and $121,000 in the United States.

The invoice from Omega Motors is stamped approved by the Ministry of Finance revenue section.

The major buy is prompting a reaction from FNM Chairman Dr. Duane Sands.

Dr. Sands suggests it sends a bad message.

Sands claims the new car comes two years after the prime minister got a new BMW in 2022.

This latest purchase comes as Bahamians continue to grapple with rising food prices and a 1.5% increase to the nib rate set for July 1.

Despite the hardships, Sands believes the government is only focused on themselves.
