NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Officials gathering at Police Headquarters to officially launch the Anti-Gang and Firearms Investigation Task Force, Wednesday.

At the opening, Prime Minister Philip Davis said the fight against illegal weapons and gang-related activities is a critical one that impacts the safety of citizens. Also on hand for the opening were officials from the United States Embassy.

United States Charge d’ Affaires Usha Pitts says while it is solely a Bahamian law enforcement agency, she says the U.S. will lend support which could come in ways like training.
