NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Free National Movement chairman circulated a voice note sounding the alarm on an unchecked uptick in respiratory illnesses in the country, Monday.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Michael Darville is criticizing a viral voice recording made by Dr. Duane Sands. In the voicenote Dr. Sands alleges there’s a huge uptick in respiratory illnesses going unacknowledged in the country.

Dr. Darville says according to statistics from his ministry, there is nothing to panic about.

In the voicenote, Dr. Sands said some cold and flu medications, as well as emergency asthma inhalers like Ventolin are dwindling if not out of stock in areas across the country.
