ABACO, BAHAMAS – North Abaco residents coming together and signing a petition to get the port that was completed about six years ago to officially open and operational.
ABACO, BAHAMAS – North Abaco residents coming together and signing a petition to get the port that was completed about six years ago to officially open and operational.
They believe the port can bring an economic boost to the area and be a major course of revenue for the area.
The petition was organized by the North Abaco Pastors Association.
North Abaco residents filled Revival Time Pentecostal Church expressed their displeasure.
They say the facility is being used for minimal international freight delivery from Florida.
Those looking to sign the petition online can check out Change.org/opennorthAbacosport.
As of Monday, the petition had already garnered more than 600 signatures online.
