NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Police Staff Association’s Executive Chairman Ricardo Walkes, has been on the force for 27 years. He tells us crime has worsened in recent years, and the insurance benefits are a key incentivizer for attracting quality recruits to the force.

President of the Correction Officers Staff Association Hervie Culmer tells Our News the new changes came without consultation with the various law enforcement staff associations.

He also says while benefits are being taken away, they’ve been asking for the addition of vision and dental coverage to their plans.
