NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A senior civil engineer in the Ministry of Works is admitting that not enough is spent on road repairs in The Bahamas, resulting in the constant potholes that plague motorists daily.

Francis Clarke says road infrastructure improvements are costly.

The senior civil engineer was providing an update on the state of roads and repairs in New Providence.

Clarke says rain intensity has increased, resulting in larger potholes and road edge erosions.

He says recently constructed roads were constructed by international standards which result in them lasting longer.
