Officer Suspended From Duty Amid Rape Allegations

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police superintendent has been suspended from duty on the heels of allegations that he raped a 33-year-old woman.

Superintendent Kyle Capron, who headed the police Canine Unit, is accused of raping the woman on October 23.

Capron was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

Capron was remanded to prison and will have to make a bail application in the Supreme Court.

He’s next due in court on March 2, 2025 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
