NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After a two year hiatus, the return of Junkanoo to Bay was a complete success for the One Family Junkanoo Group as they were declared the unofficial winners.

One Family Chairman Androsia ‘Muffin’ Fernander told Our News this win is special to her after numerous trials the Junkanoo group endured, immediately after the announcement that her group won the 2022 Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade.

One Family won several major categories including best overall costume, best off the shoulder, best choreographed dancers, best overall performance and best music.

Not to be forgotten, Colors Junkanoo Group also took the overall crown in the B-category taking several key categories such as best music, best performance, best choreographed dancers and best overall costume.

The New Year’s Day parade is scheduled for January 2nd at 2am.
