NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After winning both Junkanoo parades back in 2022, the One Family Junkanoo group suffered a crushing defeat in the recent Boxing Day parade, coming in fifth.

One Family Media Coordinator Anthony Coakley says the results were a blow for them. He says there were challenges.

Coakley said the ripple effect led to the group being overtime in getting down Bay Street ending in them being penalized and losing points.

But he says the Warriors will bounce back this New Year’s Day parade.

He says One Family would’ve finished third if not for the penalties but what’s next?

In the upcoming New Year’s Day parade, the group is celebrating 50 years of music with the theme, The Bahamas Jukebox, We Jammin.

It will pay homage to the legends in Bahamian music.
