NASSAU, BAHAMAS – One-thousand Bahamas Power and Light customers are without power while others are bracing for an increase in the already high cost. It has members of the Opposition once again criticizing government’s efforts in combating inflation.

The Opposition is still completely unsatisfied by the government’s response to the inflation crisis, according to Shadow Minister of Finance, Kwasi Thompson.

He says he believes the administration has made it more difficult for Bahamians now that they have implemented a rate increase for BPL.

Thompson says the government must act swiftly when it comes to putting policies in place to aggressively fight inflation.
