NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Assistant Director at the Organization for Responsible Governance, Stephon Evans says the situation involving Immigration Minister Keith Bell and alleged interference in his ministry’s department echoes ORG’s stance on anti-corruption.

Good governance he says is ensuring the system does not make way for these types of situations in the future.

Although there is legislation on the books aimed at making a difference, he says those pieces of paper need to be translated into action.

These measures, once put in place he says, can improve the quality of life for all citizens.

And while the trust between government and its citizens is paramount, Evans shares how this controversy may be viewed by the international community.
