NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas is seeing its first British Trade Mission in over 20 years this week, where over $1 billion worth of deals are up for discussion.

British High Commissioner Thomas Hartley described the range of industries covered on this mission.

It was the Caribbean Council that invited Prime Minister Philip Davis to speak at the House of Lords event in May.

Bennet says there are a number of things that attracted British companies to The Bahamas.

And Hartley says lower costs for Bahamians and interest in more long-term investment from British businesses make this timing an ideal match.
