PANAMA – Panama’s President, Jose Raul Mulino is denying there are Chinese soldiers in the canal that crosses the Central American country.
PANAMA – Panama’s President, Jose Raul Mulino is denying there are Chinese soldiers in the canal that crosses the Central American country.
His comments come in response to recent comments by U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a publication in the truth social network on Wednesday, the president-elect of the United States accused Chinese soldiers of illegally operating the canal.
Panama established diplomatic ties with the Asian giant in 2017, after breaking ties with Taiwan, an ally of Washington.
