NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Pharmacies will not be penalized if their inventories do not reflect the recent addition of some medications to the price control list.

Health Minister Dr. Michael Darville recently giving the assurance about the change that came into effect Monday.

The health minister met with The Bahamas Pharmacy Council and Bahamas Pharmacy Association to address concerns after pharmaceutical distributors criticized the government for not including them in discussions regarding the new regulation of some meds on the price control list.
