PM: I Don’t Like Describing Rape At All

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis told the media that he found it “curious” that a judge ruled that a woman who claims she was raped by her husband cannot use that as grounds divorce.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis told the media that he found it “curious” that a judge ruled that a woman who claims she was raped by her husband cannot use that as grounds divorce.

The prime minister, who is an attorney by profession, said physical abuse is grounds for divorce and “rape is physical abuse.”

He was responding to questions about his government’s stance on marital rape.
