NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis hitting back at a former prime minister for his recent criticisms of the PLP government claiming it has made no major decisions since taking office. Davis responding saying he’s focused on what’s in the Blueprint For Change.

The prime minister did not hold back as he responded to former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham who recently accused the Davis administration of focusing on public relations since taking office last September.

Prime Minister Davis says Ingraham has had his chances to govern the country, adding that the focus has been on what’s outlined in the Blueprint For Change.

While appearing as a guest on Guardian talk show Z Live: Off The Record, Ingraham said aside from reducing VAT, the administration has been reluctant to make any major decision it sees as controversial.

The Davis administration has gotten much flack for its failure to make movements on marital rape legislation.

Another sore point was discussions surrounding the increase of NIB contributions, which an actuarial report said is needed to prevent the fund from depletion.

Davis saying his priority has been elsewhere – stabilising the economy.
