ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS – As the country prepares to host CARICOM next week, that means regional leaders will grace our shores for the first time under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Philip Davis.

It’s also expected that high ranking U.S. officials will be in town along with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

And with all that involved, officials have said that security will be heightened.

Adding fuel to the fire, the nation’s leader recently received anonymous death threats and protestors have made clear their intentions to take their actions when CARICOM meetings begin on Wednesday at Baha Mar.

The prime minister assured reporters that everything will be under control.
