NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Medical facilities across the country are set to undergo major renovations in the coming months according to senior health officials.

Here in New Providence, work is expected to begin early next week at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Michael Darville, noting that the Princess Margaret Hospital has been in a state of disrepair for some 20 years.

The Public Hospitals Authority partnering recently with Doctors Hospital to facilitate the transfer of patients during this renovation period.

The health minister says that process is going well.

Managing Director of the Public Hospital Authority, Dr. Aubynette Rolle gave this update on admission numbers.
