NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 29-year-old police constable has denied touching two children in a sexual way.

Constable Latario Sands is accused of indecently assaulting two girls, ages 12 and 15, of September 28.

Sands denied the allegations at his arraignment before Magistrate Abigail Farrington.

Bail has been set at $7,500 and Sands is forbidden from contacting any prosecution witnesses.

His trial is set to begin on Janaury 28, 2026.

Sands, who worked at the Western Station, has been suspended from duty and placed on half-pay, until the case is completed.
