Police Officer Pays $15K Fine for Soliciting Sex from a Minor
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 38-year-old policeman has avoided jail time for soliciting sex from a minor.
Gregory Taylor has paid a $15,000 fine to get out of a three-year prison term.
Taylor will be on probation for the next two years and he risks a three-year prison sentence if he breaches probation.
He received the sentences as part of a plea agreement today after he admitted to attempted procuration.
The crime took place between August 2023 and January 5, 2024.
The court heard how Taylor had a series of explicit sexual conversations with the 13-year-old girl via WhatsApp before the inappropriate conduct was discovered.
